Pearl Eliza Jorgensen Christensen, 90, Grace, died Tuesday afternoon at the Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs.
Mrs. Christensen was born Sep.10, 1891, at Ogden, Utah, to Rasmus G.and Thora Jensen Jorgensen. She married Christian Miller Christensen Nov. 10, 1909 in
the Logan LDS Temple. Mr. Christensen died March 31, 1976. She had resided in Central for 61 years, Logan, Utah 27 years, and Grace for seven years.
She was a member of the Grace LDS First Ward. She had served as Sunday School teacher, ward organist for 36 years, counselor in the Relief Society for seven
years, president of the Relief Society for six years and Relief Society visiting teacher.
She is survived by two sons, Orval J. Christensen, Central, and Leo C. Christensen, Grace; five daughters, Mrs. Cora Harris, Lago; Mrs. Luther (Ina)Wilson,
Grace; Agnes Christensen, Blackfoot, and Mrs. Edwin (Evah) Smith, and Mrs. Robert (Ruby) Bolton, both of Soda Springs; 31 grandchildren; 114
great-grandchildren; 19 great,great grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur Jorgensen, Ogden, Utah and Herman Jorgensen in California; three sisters, Mrs. Dora
Hegstrom and Mrs. Rosetta Bond, both of Ogden, Utah, and Mrs. Alfred (Lila) Norris, California. She was preceded in death by one son, Bert.
Christian M. Christensen, 87, died Wednesday at the Soda Springs hospital of natural causes.
He was born Feb, 3, 1889, in Logan, to Ferdinand and Elsie Marie Miller Christensen. He married Pearl Eliza Jorgensen Nov 10, 1909 in the Logan Temple.
They had farmed in the Central area until moving to Logan in 1947. They returned to Grace in 1974.
Mr. Christensen had served an LDS Mission in the Southern states, had been Bishop of the Central Ward, and was a member of the High Priest Quorum
presidency.
Survivors are his wife of Grace; two sons, and five daughters, Orval J. and Leo C.,, Mrs. Guy (Cora)Harris, and Mrs. Luther (Ina) Wilson, all of Grace; Mrs.
Edwin (Evah)Smith, Mrs. Robert (Ruby) Bolton, both of Soda Springs' Agnes Christensen, Blackfoot; 27 grandchildren; 90 great-grandchildren; three
great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph A. Christensen, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Swann, both of Banida, Idaho.
Funeral Services will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the Grace, Idaho Stake Center. Burial will be in the Central Cemetery
